About

My Background

While covering a concert for written review, a friend placed a Nikon D7200 with an 18-300mm, f/3.5 lens in my hand and simply said, "Have fun!".  I nervously looked down at the thing with too many numbers and buttons and knew this had to be a NASA mission.  That night I discovered an entirely new portal to reach even further depths of creativity.

Photography as Communication

We hear it and relate to it daily.  I'm talking about the fact that "Everyone has something."  Whether it is an adversity with which they struggle, or a victory that which they celebrate; some are seeking a means of living to maintain or improve their quality of life, and some are living their best one.

Regardless of your story, I stand by you as very simply a means to your vision.

Let's get personal

I began my career as an on-air radio personality in 1999 in St. Louis.  I worked at six different stations in STL and have recently returned to one of them!  (105.7 The Point) I received my Masters Degree from Saint Louis University in 2006. I am the Managing Editor for Arch City Media, as well as a writer, and photographer, covering sports, music, and entertainment.  I am also a contributing writer/editor for The Spectatour.  Both publications can be found online.   I am married with two daughters, 13 and 9,  and when I'm not shooting or writing, I'm writing or shooting.
